The Extraordinary General Assembly of the Misr Fertilizer Production Company (MOPCO) was held in the presence of Eng. Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and headed by the Accountant / Hisham Nour El-Din, the Company's Chairman.

During the assembly, it was agreed to amend some articles of the company's articles of association. The assembly agreed to establish and operate a project for the production, marketing and sale of Melamine inside and outside Egypt.

Nour El-Din explained that this project meets the local demand and is self-sufficient in the raw material, as there is no factory for the production of Melamine in Egypt, and maximizes the added value of natural gas.

The work of the association was attended by Eng. Saad Helal, Chairman of the Petrochemical Holding Company (Echem), Eng. Magdy Galal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), and Eng. Yasser Salah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO), and the presence of the rest shareholders.
