Misr Fertilizers Production Company (MOPCO) participated in the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2024) in its seventh edition during the period from February 19–21, 2024, in Cairo under the theme Energy Stimulation: Securing Supplies, Energy Transition, and Reducing Emissions, under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and in the presence of the Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, His Excellency Engineer Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum, Resources, and Minerals, and a group of ministers, CEOs, and international leaders in the energy industry.
The attendees praised MOPCO's distinguished booth, which
attracted everyone's attention due to the good organization it carried out.
MOPCO's participation in this event serves as a global platform for exchanging
experiences and attracting more global investments in the petrochemical field.
The conference exhibits the latest technologies and innovations in the fields
of enhancing energy efficiency, reducing emissions, decarbonizing the oil and
gas industry, and green hydrogen production. MOPCO participated with a working
group headed by Eng. Ahmed Mahmoud, Chairman of the Board of Directors and
Managing Director, accompanied by the company's assistants, vice presidents,
and a group of young leaders. The company received its visitors in Hall 3,
Booth No. 3H-40. Misr Fertilizers Production Company is one of the largest
leading companies producing nitrogen fertilizers in Egypt and the Middle East.
It exports nearly one million tonnes annually of urea fertilizer to global
markets and also contributes to 25% of the local market demand within the Arab
Republic of Egypt, making it the largest producer of urea fertilizer in Egypt
and the second-largest on the African continent. It also meets about 60% of the
local market demand for ammonia products. According to Forbes, MOPCO was ranked
eighth among the top 50 companies in Egypt for the year 2023. MOPCO confirms
its continued keenness to attend all events related to the petrochemical
industry, whether at the local or global level, and to highlight its leadership
role in this huge industry.
